Minced Beef Recipe without any Ground Meat

Now that that is something you don't hear every day. You must be wondering: "Yeah right" You cannot have a mince meat recipe and not have the main parts?" Well the solution to the puzzle is honestly simple: This recipe commenced off as usual but then I gathered that the beef I acquired roughly an hour before had a real spoiled reek after removing it out of the bag. That meat ended up in the rubbish can but I had visitors on the way, All my other preperation handiwork were done and no ground meat. I had to be creative. Green, yellow and red peppers, chopped onions, white button mushrooms, yellow corn, chopped-up half cooked potato pieces, thick slices of tomato, thin carrot sticks salt and lemon pepper, fresh mustard, chopped garlic flakes, real butter (you can also use margarine) and a beef stock cube was al lying ready for use on my table but I had no beef to use and I had friends coming to visit me. Emergency mode kicked in. I almost panicked and I knew I had to do something and I had to do it speedy. It was at the last minute and not within my local butcher's business hours so I could not get fresh beef that day. I had to make up a plan. Now, I'm sure you all know what cuisine substitutions are. There are tons of them and lots of reading material published about the subject and it's a generally known affair that you can alternate minced meat with ground soy beans or other ground meat, but I did not make use any of those well known substitutiins. . And while I'm on the subject of food substitutions, here's a list of the things you can apply in your cookery: Dried Basil = Parsley, thyme or oregano. Basmati Rice = Any long-grain white rice. Whiskey=Bourbon Savoy Cabbage / Chinese Cabbage / Green Cabbage = Brussel Sprouts Chopped green olives = Capers Chile powder / Hot red pepper / = Cayenne Pepper Celery = Green pepper / bean sprouts Green onion tops / leeks / onion powder = Chives Basil = Mint Cognac or Whiskey = Brandy Oyster / Matsuke mushrooms = Morel Mushrooms Mineral water = Club soda Paprika = Tumeric with dash of red pepper Sherry=Port Chicken = Rabbit Ground beef = ground turkey / ground pork / ground veal / ground lamb (I did not use any of these) Ok so where was I? Oh yes, the soy beans... I did not want soy beans, pork, veal, lamb nor turkey so I had to make another plan. can you guesswhat I have used in the place of my overripe minced meat?
