The second part is more practical based, and involves being out in a car with a trainer working on your driving ability, after all, you will need to become an excellent driver if you are going to teach other people how to drive safely! The final module revolves around improving your teaching ability. Probably the most important skill an instructor needs is teaching. You will have to get good at planning lessons and tailoring courses to people of different abilities. These skills are hugely important, and you will need to become competent in all of them before becoming a qualified instructor. Each of the three parts of the driving instructor course has its own examination which will need to be passed before you can move on to the next module. You are only allowed three attempts at each exam, so make sure you are well prepared before taking them!
