Most have heard the story about the students from M.I.T. who won millions of dollars in Vegas one summer . They did this by counting cards and betting large amounts at just the right time . But it is also the story of kids who put themselves in massive danger by breaking a cardinal rule, "don't cheat in a casino" . Whether or not the black jack betting strategies they were using is legal or not is irrelevant . They were removed from the floor because the pit bosses realized what they were doing and saw it as a threat to the casino . An intricate system such as this would be difficult for the average player to do . It's hard to find a group of team members who each have both the ability to count cards effectively and the courage to try . Card counting systems will not work online, as the shuffle has been removed from most online casinos . Black jack betting strategies do not end at card counting, though. There are many other systems out there . Take a look at a few, and decide which is right for you : The Martingale System is a commonly known system, but it is also very risky . Use of this system involves making a series of bets with the overall goal of winning a bare minimum amount whatever the cost . If you win the first bet you simply start up another series . If you lose that first hand, though, you have to double your bet . If you lose again, simply double your last bet, and continue until you eventually win . Once you eventually do win, you get back all your losses, plus the original bet . For the individual with an unlimited amount of money and time, this is the perfect system . Most people have neither of these, sadly . The best advice I can offer you is to avoid this strategy like the plague . Along with the huge risks you take on your double up bets, you can be crushed even harder if you are already doubling past what you feel comfortable with and then get dealt cards that require you to split or double down, or worse, both . You'll be going home shoeless if the dealer gets lucky once . In the Paroli System you do the opposite of what is done in the Martingale System ; you double your money when you win rather than when you lose . Losses to the player are kept at an absolute minimum, as he is only playing with the house's money when doubling bets . This system has proven very effective when worked along with a good money management strategy and knowing when to cash out . There's something that people like about the Martingale System, so it was revisited and the Cross-out System was developed . Pen and paper are required here, as in Cross-out the player writes down a series of random single digit numbers and bets the total of the first and last of these digits . To illustrate , if your series were 1 2 3 4 5 , the first bet you placed would be six . If you had won, you would cross out these numbers and continue the system . If you had lost, the amount of chips you lost would be added to the end of your number row and that would become part of the betting series . You continue with this system of betting until all the numbers on your sheet have been crossed off . The system can definitely work, but you will need writing instruments to keep it accurate . No matter your objectives , keep focused and search for tips for black jack and betting . Work with a few different systems until you get one that works for you . After you have found that system, keep at it and you will be winning big .
